BiosDale RedekopI was born and raised in Kamloops , BC, the oldest of 5 kids We spent many hours in the outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, playing ball and hockey. After playing Junior and College hockey in the interior I headed for UBC and completed a degree in history and psychology. My wife of 42 years , Donna , and I started our professional careers as teachers in the interior of B.C where I taught Social studies, History and P.E. at the High School level. In the early 1980’s I made a career change and we moved our growing family to the coast. My family and I have enjoyed the Fraser Valley since that time and have called Surrey home for the last 35 years. Our son Mitch followed me into real estate and we have since formed one of the top teams in the Fraser Valley. Our daughter Eva followed her mom into teaching and is employed in the Surrey School District. She lives in Fraser Heights as well , with her husband Mike and some special grandkids of ours. Our yorkie “Lacey” lives with us in our Fraser Heights home. In 1981 I became the sales manager for a new home company and got my real estate license in early 1982. Over the years I’ve been involved in development, construction, ownership, real estate investing and of course sales, by the thousands. Since 1992 I have been with Re/Max, the undisputed leader in real estate marketing worldwide and have really enjoyed the advantages that accrue to my clients from that relationship. When I’m not negotiating deals or marketing properties for my clients I enjoy golf, snowboarding, hiking, wakeboarding and summer fun at our Shuswap Lake log cabin. Mitch RedekopI was born in Revelstoke B.C and moved to the Fraser Heights when I was 3 years old. I grew up with many great friends in the area and spent many long hours building forts in the forest and playing road hockey and tennis. I went to both Erma Stephenson and Fraser Wood elementary schools where I was able to develop a strong life foundation through their academic and athletic programs. I graduated from North Surrey Secondary with honours and went on to get a Bachelor of Biological Science degree from SFU, majoring in Cell Biology. During my time at SFU I worked for the City of Surrey as a lifeguard and swimming teacher. I have always been very active, particularly in team sports. In highschooI, I played on just about every team possible and won the 'Aggregate Top Athlete of the Year' award from gr.10 through gr.12. I also played at the highest level of baseball in the lower mainland for many years, going to multiple provincial championships with various All Star teams. My involvement in team sports has given me a great sense of team work and what it takes to succeed at the highest level. I began my career in Real Estate with RE/MAX in 2005 after completing the real estate program at UBC's Sauder School of Business. While working closely with my dad as mentor, I have been able to help many of my friends get into the market and also learned how to successfully market homes in Fraser Valley. I have been in the top 5% of all realtors in the Fraser Valley each year that I have been in the business. I love where I live and love what I do ! My other passions include travelling, the outdoors, working out, sports, movies and spending time with my friends and family. |
